Gwen Phoo graduated from the University of the Arts London with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Illustration and Visual Media in 2023.

 

Currently based in Singapore.

As an emerging illustrator, Phoo has gained international recognition through awards and group exhibitions across Singapore, China, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Her work 'Enchanted' was featured in the Global Design Graduate Show 2023.  She is a World Illustration Awards Longlisted Artist (2025) and has received the Most Creative Award (Professional Group) at the Singapore International Art Contest (2025), a Silver Award in Digital Painting at the Metropolitan International Youth Arts Festival (2024), and a Bronze Award at the JIA Illustration Award (2024).

As a self-driven arts administrator, Phoo has been actively expanding her engagement with the international art scene. She has participated in Singapore Art Week (2024, 2025), the Curatorial and AIR Programming Scheme at Taipei Artist Village (2022), and the Art Administration Talents Cultivation Programme at Art Taipei (2021).
